The International Funds Conference produced an enviable list of internationally respected speakers for the 2009 event, and we have been extremely honoured by the number of world class speakers that have made themselves available for our 2010 conference. Our goal is to make this into an annual event that every major player in our industry will have marked on their calender as ‘must attend’ and we have taken a big step forward in pursuit of that goal with the speakers and panelists we have assembled this year.

Dan Duguay
Auditor General | Cayman Islands

Dan Duguay has been the Auditor General of the Cayman Islands since February 2004. Previously, Dan has worked in the Audit Offices of Canada for 23 years and Bermuda for 4 years.

Dan has been a Certified General Accountant since 1979 and was made a Fellow of CGA in July 2009. Dan has a Bachelors of Business Administration from St. Francais Xavier University in Nova Scotia and an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal Canada. Dan recently completed his term as a member of the International Federation of Accountant’s International Public Sector Accountant Standards Board (IPSASB). This Board develops the International Accounting standards that are currently used in the Cayman Islands.

Dan has been actively involved in training and supporting international audit offices for many years. At present, Dan is Vice Chair of the Capacity Building Committee of INTOSAI and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Caribbean Association of Supreme Audit Institutions.
